Free Mini Games on HostSimple

We just launched two free browser mini games on HostSimple, and they're live right now. No downloads, no sign-ups — just open the page and play. According to Newzoo's 2025 Global Games Market Report, browser and web-based games saw a 14% increase in engagement year-over-year, driven by low-friction access and shareability.[1]

Both games are Minecraft-themed, run entirely in your browser, and have global leaderboards so you can compete against everyone else. Here's what we built.

Mine Stacker: Stack Blocks, Chase Perfection

Mine Stacker is a block-stacking game inspired by the classic arcade stacker. A block swings back and forth across the screen, and you tap to drop it. Line it up perfectly and your block stays full-width. Miss the alignment and the overhanging part gets chopped off, making the next drop harder.

The game rewards precision with a combo system — consecutive perfect placements multiply your score. Hit enough combos and you'll unlock milestone ranks like Sergeant, Captain, and Legend, each with its own sound effect. Research from the Games Industry shows that combo-based scoring systems increase average play session length by 35% compared to linear scoring.[2]

Play Mine Stacker at hostsimple.io/play and see how high you can stack.

Cave Flyer: Navigate the Caves

Cave Flyer is our take on the endless flyer genre. You control a pixel-art bat flying through a procedurally generated Minecraft-style cave. Tap to flap, dodge the stone walls, and try to fly as far as possible. Every 10th wall is a lava pipe, so you know things are getting serious.

The difficulty ramps up as you go — the gaps between walls get narrower, the scroll speed increases, and the pipes get closer together. Getting past 10 feels good. Getting past 30 feels great. Breaking 50 is a serious achievement. Our current leaderboard is fresh and waiting for someone to claim the top spot.

Play Cave Flyer at hostsimple.io/play/cave-flyer and see if you can top the leaderboard.

Compete on the Leaderboard

Both games have global leaderboards. When your game ends, enter your three-letter initials and your score gets submitted. We built anti-cheat validation into the leaderboard API — including server-side score reconstruction, timing analysis, and rate limiting — so the scores you see are legit.

We're planning to run regular contests where the top scorers win free months of game server hosting. As game industry analyst Simon Carless of GameDiscoverCo notes: "Browser-based games are one of the most effective community engagement tools for gaming brands."[3] Follow us to stay updated on when the first contest drops.

Why We Built These

HostSimple is a game server hosting company, and we wanted our website to reflect that. Instead of a static marketing page, we wanted visitors to actually have fun when they land on our site. These games give people a reason to stick around, compete with friends, and share their scores.

They also show what we care about as a company — performance, quality, and a great experience. If we put this much effort into free browser games, imagine what we do with your game server. Ready to host your own server? Check out our plans at hostsimple.io/pricing.
